Daniel and Heather’s Wedding day was so lovely! Their wedding was held in the beautiful Magnolia Bay in Dothan Alabama. The fall weather was amazing and the trees were literally glistening the entire day. Daniel and Heather’s love for one another was so evident. When he turned around to see her during their first look, you could just see the joy in his eyes. They danced in front of trees, laughed together and just spent time together before their ceremony.
What made their wedding so special was the memorials set all around the wedding to honor Heather’s mother. Her photo was walked in during the ceremony, hanging from Heather’s bouquet and displayed on a beautiful table during their reception. Before the ceremony began, I could feel the sense of heaviness that Heather had and I just embraced her, knowing all too well the pain of not having a parent at my wedding. We cried together and then we smiled and I reminded her that it was okay to cry and think of her mother and honor her, anything else would not feel right. It was that moment, I stopped and reminded myself of how rewarding this career is. I connected with Heather on another level beyond pretty photos and it was one of the most stand-still moments of my career that I will cherish forever.
Heather and Daniel’s wedding reception was so much fun! You could feel the love from all of their guests and the speeches were so heartfelt. Heather’s sister, who was deployed even sent her speech to be read during the reception and everyone was in tears during such an emotional moment. Daniel’s uncles speech also was one to remember, focusing on how Daniel always gets things done and that Heather would never have to worry about something being unfinished.
I was so honored to capture such a delightful day that their wedding was and I am so thankful for the friendship that I have in Daniel and Heather.
Here’s to Mr. and Mrs. Spann!
